On October 7th, The Polish Museum of America had the distinct honor of hosting the 4th annual PAYAS conference - Polish American Youth Academic Summit. The event drew a diverse audience of enthusiastic students and accomplished professionals, creating a vibrant atmosphere of knowledge sharing and collaboration. The conference was sponsored and organized by the Polish American Medical Society.
The conference showcased an impressive roster of distinguished speakers whose expertise and contributions in their respective domains made a lasting impression on the participants. Among these distinguished individuals were: Dr. Miroslaw Wielgos: President of the Polish Gynecological Society, renowned for his extensive research and publications in the areas of prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound, and intrauterine therapy; Dr. Ewa Radwanska: Vice President of PAMS and a Professor of Gynecology at Rush University Medical Center, who has made significant contributions to the field of gynecology; Dr. Henryk Skarzynski: A trailblazer in the detection and treatment of hearing disorders, credited with initiating the Polish adult and pediatric cochlear implantation program; Dr. Maciej Dryjski: Professor of Surgery and Vice Chairman of the Department of Surgery at the University of Buffalo, also serving as the Director of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Kaleida Health; Dr. Lukasz Gasiorowski: The director of the Medical Simulation Centre at Poznan University of Medical Sciences, a visionary leader in medical education and simulation.
