Hi Mark! Thank you for visiting our new website! More information about staff members you can find under two links: [Home] –> [Staff] and the second one where you can find Our Team section with e-mails and direct phone numbers: [Home] –> [Museum]
I have two (NEW) First Day of issue commemoratives (envolope and postcard) issued in Poland on the anniversary of the Katyn Massacre in 1995. They were sent to me from my first cousin in Krakow. I would like to donate them to your collection. The state of NJ issued a resolution designating the period of April 3 through May 20, 1995 as Katyn Forest Massacre Memorial Month. I also have a copy of the text of that resolution if you are interested in that as well. Please advise.
Thank you
The National Soaring Museum in Elmira, NY has the Orlik II sailplane (Glider) on display, designed my Antoni Kocjan in 1938. It was imported to New York in 1938 for display at the New York World’s Fair, Polish Pavilion. This sailplane was sold and has been in the USA since the World’s Fair. It has many achievements including the winner of the US National Championships and held a world altitude record.
I’m doing research on this glider and ask if you are aware of it’s history and existence. I would be happy to talk with anyone who has information about this glider when in New York.
