One of nice perks about of The Polish Museum of America being housed in the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America building is the assistance and support that comes to the PMA from the PRCUA. One long time PRCUA employee, Kathryn “Kasia” Rosypal-Romani, is retiring this year, and has been the PMA Newsletter Editor for 15 years. Kasia’s first duty is as the Executive Editor of the PRCUA monthly publication, Narod Polski (Polish Nation); but she always made time for the PMA Newsletter, and included many articles about PMA activities and events in Narod Polski. Her last issue as Editor of the PMA Newsletter came out in July, with a thank you to Kasia from the PMA.
Her dedication in setting up the Newsletter and checking its contents was very much appreciated as each issue was rolled out. That same dedication extended to collaborating with past Membership/ Special Events Director, Joann Ozog, on several popular workbooks on historic Polish figures, Polish immigration to Chicago, as well as on our beautiful Polish customs and traditions – several titles were created for specific age groups. Kasia also led mini-workshops of various Polish Christmas ornaments during past PMA Wigilia celebrations. She also wonderfully photographed many PMA events, such as the annual Summer Ball. Kasia set up the many formats for our membership renewal cards and membership cards as well.
Thank you very much, Kasia, for all your work and support of the PMA. Enjoy your well-earned retirement with your husband and family!
