The Polish Museum of America had the pleasure of recently hosting Carol and Nicholas H. Sommers. As musicians, philanthropists, and owners of a historic villa on Hoyne Avenue—located near our building and recognizable by the cannon in front—they preserve a site that once housed the Pulaski Legion.

Introduced to us by Małgorzata Palka, the Sommers were given a tour of the museum by our Managing Director, Małgorzata Kot, who also highlighted the history of the district where the PMA is located. We are delighted to establish this neighborly and archival friendship and sincerely thank them for their visit. We look forward to welcoming them again!

Muzeum Polskie w Ameryce miało przyjemność gościć Państwa Carol i Nicholasa H. Sommersów – muzyków, filantropów i właścicieli historycznej willi przy Hoyne Avenue, nieopodal naszego gmachu. Budynek ten, rozpoznawalny m.in. dzięki stojącej przed nim armacie, mieścił niegdyś siedzibę Legionu Pułaskiego.

Państwa Sommers zapoznała z nami Małgorzata Palka, a podczas wizyty po muzealnych zbiorach oprowadziła ich nasza dyrektor zarządzająca, Małgorzata Kot, przybliżając także historię dzielnicy, w której mieści się MPA. Cieszymy się z nawiązania tej sąsiedzkiej i archiwalnej przyjaźni oraz dziękujemy za odwiedziny. Zapraszamy ponownie!
