The Polish Museum of America was honored to host Radosław Paternoga and Bartłomiej Garba from the National Maritime Museum in Gdańsk as they joined us for the opening of the "100 Years of Polish Sailing" exhibition on August 16, 2024. This incredible exhibit is a testament to the fruitful collaboration between our two institutions, and we are deeply grateful for their cooperation and presence. Both Mr. Paternoga and Mr. Garba served as curators for the twin exhibition of the same title that opened in Gdańsk earlier in May 2024.
We are also pleased that while visiting us, Bartłomiej Garba had the opportunity to conduct research and inquiries at the Archives of the Polish Museum of America. We are proud that our documents enriched his work.
We invite everyone to visit the exhibition “100 Years of Polish Sailing,” open until March 15, to dive into the rich history, adventure, and passion that define Polish and Polish-American maritime heritage.

Muzeum Polskie w Ameryce miało zaszczyt gościć Radosława Paternogę oraz Bartłomieja Garbę z Narodowego Muzeum Morskiego w Gdańsku, którzy przybyli na otwarcie wystawy „100 lat polskiego żeglarstwa”. Ta niezwykła ekspozycja jest świadectwem owocnej współpracy naszych dwóch instytucji, za którą jesteśmy ogromnie wdzięczni. Panowie Paternoga i Garba pełnili rolę kustoszy wystawy o tej samej nazwie, która została otwarta w Gdańsku na początku maja 2024 roku.
Cieszymy się również, że Bartłomiej Garba, goszcząc u nas, miał możliwość przeprowadzenia badań i kwerendy w Archiwum Muzeum Polskiego w Ameryce — jesteśmy dumni, że nasze dokumenty wzbogaciły jego pracę.
