W niedzielę 6 października 2019 roku zobaczymy w Copernicus Center w Chicago Manru Ignacego Jana Paderewskiego - jedyną polską operę, wystawioną na deskach nowojorskiej Metropolitan Opera, dnia 14 lutego 1902 r.
W roli Ulany wystąpiła wówczas wybitna polska śpiewaczka Marcelina Sembrich Kochańska.

On Sunday, October 6, 2019, on the stage of the Copernicus Center in Chicago, Ignace Jan Paderewski's opera Manru will be performed. It is the only Polish opera to be presented on the stage of the New York Metropolitan Opera, on February 14, 1902.
Ulana, the main female role, was played by the noted Polish singer, Marcelina Sembrich Kochanska.
The program from 1902, as well as a photo of Sembrich in the role of Ulana, are from the Archives of the Polish Museum of America. The Polish Museum of America is a co-sponsor of the event at the Copernicus Center and conference on Monday. You are cordially invited to attend!
