The book detailing the formation and recruitment and service of the Polish Army in France 1917-1921. Newspaper and magazine articles, as well as personal biographies of several men from the army, are used. Details of fighting on the Western Front in France as well as the subsequent Polish-Ukrainian and Polish-Soviet Wars are detailed. Over 250 illustrations from archives and private collections are featured. Translation of regimental histories from Polish to English is used.
