Traditionally, oplatki are embossed with a nativity scene, as well as other scenes including the Holy Family. fter the head of the family reads a passage of Jesus’ birth from the bible and leads the family in prayer, the oplatki are then passed around. Each family member then gives wishes to their other family members, one-on-one and after their given wishes, break off and consume a piece of the family member’s oplatek.
